Chicago-based consulting firm West Monroe Partners is moving its Minneapolis office from 123 N 3rd Street in downtown to the The Nordic, a new North Loop mixed-use at 729 Washington Avenue.
West Monroe will lease 42,000 square feet of space at the new location. That’s more than double its existing Minneapolis footprint. The added space will allow the company to bring more than 100 employees together in one location and to accommodate expected future growth.
The company doubled its Minneapolis team last fall with the acquisition of Minneapolis-based digital product studio Go Kart Labs. Based on increased market demand for consulting, the firm expects to double the workforce again by 2025, according to a company news release.
Tom Ewers, managing director and Minneapolis office leader for West Monroe, said the company has been looking for a space to bring the GoKart Labs and West Monroe staff together.
“The Nordic not only enables us to do that; it also offers a modern, efficient, human-centered environment that is very much aligned with our people-first culture,” Ewers said.
The 10-story, 200,000-plus-square-foot Nordic building has been in development by United Properties since 2017. The site includes office space, a public plaza with outdoor seating, street-level retail space, and an adjacent parking garage.
West Monroe’s neighbors at The Nordic include digital marketing and analytics firm Ovative, a food hall-style incubator by the Galley Group, and a WeWork co-working space. West Monroe expects to move in this April.
