H&M, a clothing retailer known for offering high-fashion trends at affordable prices, said Thursday it is opening a 23,000-square-foot store at Calhoun Square in Uptown Minneapolis.
H&M currently operates locations at the Mall of America in Bloomington; Southdale Center in Edina; the Maplewood Mall; and Woodbury Lakes in Woodbury.
The company said in a press release that it “believes strongly in the Minnesota market and is excited to offer even more local customers access to the brand’s fashion-forward, quality collections.”
H&M plans to open the Uptown store sometime this fall, and a company spokesperson declined to provide a more specific time frame. The new store will include clothing collections for men, women, and children, as well as “store-within-store sections” for accessories, lingerie, maternity, and sports apparel.
Stockholm, Sweden-based H&M has more than 2,500 stores across the globe. It entered the United States with a New York store 12 years ago, and today, it has 245 U.S. locations.
